Education/Experience

Select the statement below which best identifies the level of experience and/or education you have completed:

possess a valid, unexpired Basic Technician license
AND I have completed BAR's Advanced Clean Air Car Course within the last 24 months;

OR
I possess a valid, unexpired Intern Technician license
AND I have one year experience as an Intern Technician,
AND I have completed BAR's Advanced Clean Air Car Course within the last 24 months;

OR
I have one year of automotive experience and/or education in the engine performance area
AND I have completed BAR's Basic Clean Air Car Course within the last 24 months
AND I have completed BAR's Advanced Clean Air Car Course within the last 24 months;

OR
I possess an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, or higher degree in Automotive Technology from a state-accredited or recognized college, public school, or trade school
AND I have completed BAR's Basic Clean Air Car Course within the last 24 months
AND I have completed BAR's Advanced Clean Air Car Course within the last 24 months;

OR
I possess a certificate in Automotive Technology from a state-accredited or recognized college,public school, or trade school with a minimum of 360 hours or coursework in the engine performance area
AND I have completed BAR's Basic Clean Air Car Course within the last 24 months
AND I have completed BAR's Advanced Clean Air Car Course within the last 24 months.

Required Certification

Check all of the BAR-certified education requirements that you have fulfilled. You must have completed all of them to continue.

You must complete all of the following requirements:

Current Electrical/Electronic Systems (20-hour BAR-certified course) OR Current ASE Certification in Electrical/Electronic Systems (A6)

Current Engine Performance (24-hour BAR-certified course) OR Current ASE Certification in Engine Performance (A8)

Current Advanced Engine Performance/Emission Systems (28-hour BAR-certified course) OR Current ASE Certification in Advanced Engine performance (L1)

Required Update Training

You must have completed the BAR-certified education requirement below to continue.

You must complete the following requirement:

Required Update Training Course (BAR-certified course)
