Step 5: What happens next?

Upon passing your examination, a license photo will be taken; and, the testing contractor will send your score to BAR. California law requires all applications be processed through Family Support, to verify that all family support obligations are met prior to license issuance. Cleared of any outstanding Family Support obligations, the license is then issued and mailed.
